Severn Trainees Anaesthetic Research group (STAR) is the anaesthetic, trainee-led research and audit collaborative of the Bristol School of Anaesthesia that is now opening up to allow F1 and F2 doctors from around the region to join..
Our aim is to establish a regional network of trainees who conduct high quality multi-centre research and audit projects and to provide a channel for communication and continuity that will allow trainees to continue their involvement in research and audit projects as they move around the region.
We want to:
- provide more research training for the educational benefit of STAR members.
- improve the research experience for Severn trainees.
- attract national funding for research and audit work.

We have a number of projects which are about to get under way that we are looking to recruit new members to so please get in touch with us.
If you already have a project in mind you can submit a new project proposal for regional audit, survey or research project by downloading the STAR Project Proposal Form, completing it and emailing to: STARgroupresearch@googlemail.com
