This course is aimed at junior doctors interested in gaining basic ophthalmic skills for any speciality (Ophthalmology, GP and A&E). The course will be run annually and last year sold out within a month and saw junior doctors from across the country.

The morning will involve a series of lectures in the LIMIT suite and the afternoon will be spent practising to use the ophthalmic equipment in the Ophthalmology department clinic rooms. The facilitators are Ophthalmologists and the lectures will be delivered by Ophthalmologists (all of whom are working for the trust). Each clinic room in the afternoon for the skills session will see 3 delegates, a facilitator and 2 volunteers on whom their eyes will be dilated. Refreshments, lunch and certificates will be provided.
